Media Advisory: November 2010 General Election Media Information
In preparation for the November 2010 General Election, the Florida Department of State is providing the following information for news media planning purposes.
MEDIA AVAILABILITIES
Interim Florida Secretary of State Dawn K. Roberts will hold media availabilities throughout Election Day. Media availabilities will be at 9:30 a.m. after polls have opened across the state and after the polls close with the time TBD.
All media availabilities will be held in the Gallery for Innovation and the Arts, to the left of the main auditorium, on the First Floor of the R.A. Gray Building. The R.A. Gray Building is located in Tallahassee at:

ELECTION NIGHT RETURNS
Election night returns will be updated on the Florida Department of State, Division of Elections website: http://Elections.myflorida.com . Returns will be uploaded from the 67 Florida counties from three areas: absentee ballot results, early voting results and Election Day precinct reports.
The election results will be posted on the following website which is also accessible from the Division of Elections homepage.

The County Reporting Status link toward the top left of the page will display the status of each type of election result (absentee ballot, early voting, Election Day precincts and provisional ballots) reported by each county. That page will also display the percentage of Election Day precincts that have reported.
Space will be provided for media to file stories and report from the R.A. Gray Building. Hard network lines and wireless internet connections will be available throughout the First Floor. Returns will be scrolling on several monitors in the auditorium and in the lobby of the R.A. Gray Building.
Polls open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m. EDT. Several Florida counties are located in the Central Time Zone and open polls at 8:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. EDT.

- Escambia
- Gulf (portion of)
- Holmes
- Jackson
- Okaloosa
- Santa Rosa
- Walton
- Washington

- Over 1,084,995 ballots have been cast at early voting sites
- There are 6,881 Election Day Precincts according to our book closing reports
- 11,217,384 Registered Voters
- 4,039,259 Registered Republicans
- 4,631,068 Registered Democrats
- 2,186,246 Registered No Party Affiliation
- 360,811 Registered with Minor Parties
