Media Advisory - Secretary of State Releases total Number of Verified Petition Signatures

The Florida Department of State, Division of Elections has completed posting the total number of verified petition signatures on the Division of Elections website.

The new totals can be found by clicking on the individual petition at http://election.dos.state.fl.us/initiatives/initiativelist.asp.

There are six petitions that have received approval from the Florida Supreme Court and a seventh petition that is currently being reviewed by the Florida Attorney General’s Office.

The total number of verified signatures for the seven petitions are:

Petitions are required to have 611,009 verified signatures for placement on the ballot. Those petitions without the minimum number of verified signatures for this year may be eligible for placement on the 2010 ballot.
