Jewelry that Empowers This show aims to explore the intersection of contemporary cultural movements
and the art of jewelry-making, such as, but not limited to, the renewed interest in the environment,
Afrofuturism, and ideas surrounding resiliency, a concept that has become increasingly relevant in the
aftermath of the disruptions caused by the pandemic and other historic milestones of our time.
The Timeless Power of Talismans: Throughout history, jewelry has played a profound role as a
talisman—a symbolic object believed to possess magical properties that bring good luck and protection.
In times of uncertainty, people have turned to jewelry not only as adornment, but as tangible sources of
